cannot update the kaspersky anitivirus

I am new to this.. so i dont knw if i am doing it right. if anybody has any suggestion pls advice. i have not been able to update the kaspersky anitivirus. even if i update from the site and try pasting it does not accept it. so how do i disinfect and start updating the antivirus. i have done online scan two times but still i cannot update the antivirus.

Well, it is possible that malware just blocking the update from kaspersky servers. The easiest way to block an antivirus servers is to add the antivirus site to host file (i mean, after 127.0.0.0 .)
What version of kaspersky do you use? The latest version of kaspersky have a protection from this change.

Leave the updating of kaspersky, instead please do a full scan with latest cureit / avptool
