installation of kaspersky 2011 doesnt complete!

hello
i jst finished installin kaspersky 2011, and it quits abruptly.
the gadget shows after i restart but i cant get it to start.
i tried repair..it didnt work.
also removed and reinstalled but it is givin me the same problem.
the avp.exe process shows as runnin but once i double click the kaspersky icon under my programs..it fails to execute..

any help plss.?
am thinkin there are viruses that are preeventin kaspersky from running.. the avptool2010 also didnt help much.
