Multiple PC Problems - Random Browser Windows, etc

Hi-

About two months ago my computer was infected with the virus that will not allow you to open AVG or Malwarebytes. I was able to fix the problem but since then I have gotten the same virus two different times and since then I've had problems with random websites opening when clicking in my browser (firefox). When I reboot the machine I get an error about IE not being responsive and having to shut down even though I never use IE.
I've also had problems with a svchost.exe accessing over 50-70% of the cpu, but this isn't something to happens all the time but has been happening.
I ran the recommended programs:

Kaspersky
AVZ
HijackThis

Kaspersky and AVZ both found items.

Close/disable all the applications excluded AVZ and Internet Explorer.
- Disconnect your PC from network (internet/intranet)
- Disable antivirus, firewall and other memory resident security tools
- Disable System Restore

FYI: Microsof stopped any support for Windows XP SP2, it will not be any security updates for it. You MUST install Service Pack 3 and all subsequent updates!
You Antivirus - Version is ancient, pls. install a modern version!
After all that jazz pls . make new logs according to the rules and attach them to the new posting.

Sorry about the post above. I missed the quarantine link.

I turned off the windows firewall, turned off AVG, disconnected my internet, and disabled the system restore. Then I ran the script and then ran the other programs as noted.

Also do you have a recommendation for modern virus software, that would be good for me get? I thought AVG was good, no?
