First had problems with google hijacker, which seems to have been fixed after running Kaspersky but it found the rootkit.

Sorry it wasn't clear -- I discovered the rootkit when I ran Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool in the autoscan mode (report attached as a document since I couldn't get it in another manner). I then followed with the manual mode in order to get expert assistance here.
