Hello, I'm running Vista Home Preminium and my native anti-virus software-Avast free version-claimed I had 5 virus's one of which it quarantined. Knowing very little about malware and its removal I wondered if anyone could help.

1. You should update avz bases (File/Database Update).
2. Make new logs.

What file to Avast's mind contains this virus? Your logs seems to be clean. I'd like suggest you to remove Bonjour: [url]http://virusinfo.info/showthread.php?t=42263[/url]
Thanks for the post Rene-gad,that would be great news if I'm virus free. Avast has put one file in its virus chest and after I used it's file repair option it now states I have no infected files as does Kaspersky's online scanner. But I'm distrustful and as I buy and communicate alot via the net I can't afford my security to be compromised-should I do another malware scan via Bitdefender?
