I've started getting a mcafee window popping up, along with an shortcut appearing on the desktop, and some folders in the root of c: that I ahven't seen before.
Is there some malware trying to get a foothold in the computer?

The only file that looks suspicious is C:\WINDOWS\winstart.bat If you haven't created it and don't know what it's placed into startup folder for, execute the script: [code]begin
