I have a Dell Inspiron 1400 operating Windows XP. Recently, every time I start my laptop, I get the following error message:
"Wireless Configuration
Notification dll has not been registered, program will not work correctly."
My start button and task bar have completely disappeared, but I can still see my desktop and I've been running programs by using task manager. However, I can't drag and drop anything and there are a few programs that I can't open; for some programs, an error message will pop up and for others, nothing happens at all.
I thought it might have been malware that corrupted my system, so I ran Spybot, which detected and deleted some malware and then I restarted. I tried running Malwarebytes, but I couldn't run it due to some gridsbals6.ocx error. I ended up using the Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool and it detected some corrupted files, but only disinfected and/or deleted some of those. (I've attached the system report from that scan).
Does anyone have any idea of what has happened or what I could do to fix this? Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you!
