Laptop Infected - Kaspersky IS 2010 Cannot Completely Install

All,
I agreed to help a friend clean up his laptop, back up the files, etc. My first step was to install Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 so that I could scan all files before backing them up.
Some of the Kaspersky IS 2010 components cannot be enabled.
The autoscan of the Kapersky Virus Remover does not seem to find the problem.
I am uploading the Manual Virus Log document in the hopes that someone may be able to tell me how to proceed.
I appreciate everyones help.

Hello.
As far as I can see there is nothing harmful in your logs except for MyWebSearch toolbar. This toolbar is considered by many antiviruses a spyware so I suggest you to uninstall it as soon as possible. Besides I see that Windows XP SP2 is still used on this laptop. Try to uninstall KIS 2010 and install SP3 for Windows XP . Attention! You'd better make a backup of your system and data files before installation. Keep in mind also that Windows re-activation could be required after SP3 installation ( it usually happens on systems that aren't considered genuine by Microsoft) After installation, try to install KIS again. And please, could you post here which of KIS components are disabled after installation?
