my computer save mode cannot reach safe mode

three days ago, my computer is infected with some virus, sality i guess. This kind of virus is uncureable by dr web cureit. Every time dr web detect this virus, the virus is eradicated and every file which is infected is cured. But, after restart, the virus is come again and like de javu i have to scan again my computer. "Maybe i have to do it in safe mode" i think back then. But i can reach my safe mode. my safe mode is unaccessible.
After i scan my computer with kaspersky removal tool, the virus gone. i've check again with dr web and the result is negatif. My Computer is already cured.
after that, i try to access safe mode. it still cannot be access.
is my computer still infected? or maybe its just the excess of the virus?

Try this script in AVPTools to repair Safe mode -

begin
 ExecuteRepair(10);
end.

After this you need a system file associations fix, go to http://www.dougknox.com/xp/file_assoc.htm select and use fixes for
SCR File Association Fix (Restore default associations for SCR files)
